Workers Against Oppression

"Leave with a plan, not a sticker."

Our mission is to build a large coalition between people and organizations, to bring power back to where it belongs — the people.

What We Do

Organizing for Justice

We focus on three core areas to build power for the people of Washtenaw County and beyond.

ICE Resistance

We stand against unjust immigration enforcement. We coordinate rapid response networks and connect community members with legal resources and support.

Coalition Building

We unite organizations, workers, and community members to amplify our collective voice. Together, we are stronger than any one group alone.

Community Resources

We connect people with vital resources — food assistance, mental health support, legal aid, housing, and voter registration.

What We Stand For

Our Principles

We stand against all injustices facing the workers of the world and in solidarity with all those facing oppression.

Economic Justice

We stand strongly against the vast economic disparity the people of America face. We believe in a livable minimum wage and equitable conditions for the working class.

Racial Justice

We stand in solidarity with all racial groups facing persecution. All people, no matter the background, deserve to be valued by our society.

International Solidarity

We stand with oppressed people across the globe, opposing imperialism and unjust foreign policy that harms working people everywhere.
