Workers Against Oppression is a student-run organization that acts to organize and mobilize the populace against injustice placed upon the people. We focus on ICE resistance, coalition building, and connecting people to resources.
Originally known as A2 Against ICE, our organization was created by college students in Washtenaw County. Born out of frustration with the lack of community-building focused activist organizations, we decided to fill that void.
As we grew, we recognized that the fight against oppression extends beyond immigration enforcement. Economic injustice, racial discrimination, and international solidarity all demand our attention and action.
Today, we are Workers Against Oppression — a coalition-building organization that stands against all injustices facing the workers of the world. We connect people to resources, organize community actions, and build solidarity across movements.
As Workers Against Oppression, we stand against all injustices facing the workers of the world. We stand in solidarity with all those facing oppression — be it racial, economic, or international.
We believe power belongs with the people. Our goal is to build coalitions that center community voices and collective action.
We stand united across racial, economic, and national boundaries. An injury to one is an injury to all.
We believe in organizing, mobilizing, and taking concrete steps toward justice — not just raising awareness but creating change.
We prioritize connecting people with the resources they need — food, housing, legal support, mental health services, and more.
We educate and inform. Knowledge is power, and we work to help people understand their rights and the systems that affect them.
We fight for equitable living conditions, fair wages, and equal opportunity for all people regardless of background.
We at Workers Against Oppression stand strongly against the vast economic disparity the people of America face. We believe programs such as D.E.I, FAFSA, Affirmative Action, and a livable minimum wage must be reinforced to create more equitable living conditions for the working class.
We at Workers Against Oppression stand in solidarity with all racial groups facing persecution. All people, no matter the background, deserve to be valued by our society. We oppose all forms of racial discrimination and work to dismantle systemic racism in our communities.
We stand with oppressed workers and communities across the globe. We oppose imperialism, unjust military interventions, and foreign policies that prioritize corporate interests over human lives. International solidarity is not optional — it is essential.
